Shop window installation created for ‘Visions for the Future’ (SUPERFUTURES). Commissioned by Selfridges
Reversible is a sustainable shopping display exploring the possibilities of circular modes of production. Created as a shop window installation for “Visions for the Future” (SUPERFUTURES) and commissioned by Selfridges, the project can be completely deconstructed to its original components after use by simply using water. Expanded clay is bound together with sugar to form essential sculptures that can be dissolved after use. The installation questions models of mass production, particularly within the context of temporary display design. With a focus on materiality, it proposes an alternative production method where the process of making and the materials themselves determine the final result.
